What To Do if Your Orlando Car Rental Gets a Ticket

Let’s say you are on vacation in Orlando. You are cruising the town and see a great little café for breakfast. You drive around the block, but cannot find any parking. You figure you will only be a couple minutes, so you park your vehicle illegally and hope for the best. When you return, you notice that infamous white envelope on the windshield of your car. Yep. Your Orlando car rental just received a parking ticket. What the heck do you do now?

Looks like Orlando rental cars can get tickets, too, Well, first of all, don’t let this little issue ruin your good time. Just remember, a parking ticket is not the end of the world. But, with that said, do not ignore the ticket. Just place it in your pocket and enjoy the rest of your day.

When you return home after your vacation, mail a check to the address on the ticket. Unless the rental car Orlando agency you used is either Dollar or Thrifty, you will not receive an “administrative fee” and the matter will be closed.  (As far as we know Dollar and Thrifty are the only car rental agencies to charge this $25 fee.)

Parking tickets, especially on vacation, are a pain, but ignoring the problem will only result in larger fines. Pay your ticket, and then forget it ever happened.
